This area is ridden with conflict—conflict that has left many children parentless. From 1994 through 2001, the D.R. Congo experienced many civil wars. Several dictatorial regimes have crumbled due to coups and assassinations, thus preventing prolonged stability in the region. Ethnic strife and conflict also have erupted due to a massive influx of Rwandan and Burundian refugees.
The D.R. Congo remains violent, dangerous and unstable. Fighting in the streets of Kinshasa broke out in mid-March 2007 and while the immediate violence has subsided, the situation remains volatile.
Here in the capital city of Kinshasa, Warm Blankets Orphan Care and its local partners are working
together to bring peace and stability into the lives of children orphaned by the near constant conflict.
You can play a vital role in the rescue and restoration of these orphans lives. This home is in need of sponsorship. Will you consider partnering together with us on a monthly basis?
