Mt. Elgon Orphan Home

Mt. Elgon is Kenya's second highest mountain. It is 140 kilometers northeast of Lake Victoria on the border between Kenya and Uganda.

This church-orphan home is currently under construction and will be a safe house for 50 orphan boys and girls along with their care givers. The local church will meet in the lower portion of this home.

While Kenya has been one of the more stable African countries in recent years, fighting and violence has erupted over the election results. Thousands have died and many, many more are fleeing before the chaos of riots and destruction.
