Juba Orphan Home
The country of Sudan has been suffering from decades of civil war that has left over 2 million dead and twice that number displaced. Fighting between northern and southern factions has been over ethnic and ideological differences fueled by oil disputes. The Juba orphan home is located in the southern part of Sudan on the White Nile river. To help keep the children safe, a two story, concrete building is being constructed to permanently house the orphans. Not all of the children wandering alone are orphans. Many are "unaccompanied minors" who have lost their parents while fleeing the fighting. Some of the children pictured in this website may eventually be reunited with their parents or extended families.
With your help we can rescue and care for the orphans of Sudan. Please consider helping make this orphan home a place of refuge and safety for up to 50 desparate orphan boys and girls.
